LUNDH, Magnus

Magnus was born in Sweden but left home early at the age of 14 seeking adventure at sea. He worked his way across all the seas and oceans, visiting most of the major and many minor port cities of the world. Eventually he chose Vancouver as his home port, a place he considered to be the best in the world. He completed his Master Mariner ticket and worked over 40 years in the B.C. maritime industry, many of them as a member of the B.C. Supercargoes' Association. Years of happy vacations were spent boating, exploring and fishing around the inlets and islands of the south coast. In retirement Magnus focused on his passion for salmon and the environment by actively volunteering with the Nicomekl Enhancement Society for nearly 20 years.
He had sparkly blue eyes with a ready smile and was thankful for all he experienced, in Magnus' own words, "I have lived a better life than I could possibly have imagined".
