Streamside Protection Implementation Workshop

Speech given By Zo Ann Morten October 10, 2001 at the Streamside Protection Implementation Workshop meeting,
at the Delta Airport Hotel, Richmond, BC.

Over the years we have become more cognizant of our streams and their natural interaction with the land and riparian area surrounding them. We have become aware of the need to acknowledge that working with waterways, still in their natural stream condition, is more cost effective,

safer and provides a healthier outcome

compared to constantly trying to keep the stream within our predetermined, constricted flow pattern.
