How We Did It

We used a mix of equipment ranging from extremely low-tech, to near state of the art. Zo Ann is using the standard streamkeepers paraphanalia -

  • serber sampler
  • plastic pippette
  • ice cube tray
  • white plastic pan
  • small paintbrush
  • magnifying glass

Pat is using an Intelplay QX3 microscope, connected to a Compaq Presario 1200 laptop computer. We also brought a Kodak DC4800 digital camera.

As you can see from the vehicle in the background, we set up right off the highway. In this instance, Site 2, we set up in a rest stop, just before one of the tunnels in the Fraser Canyon.
