Workshop 2003 was held in Terrace May 16-18Read all about it in the Spring 2003 issue of Streamtalk  Workshop 2003 is come and gone, and was a great success. The community advisors threw their hats in the ring to instruct most of the courses and we hope you took advantage of the vast knowledge they have to offer. Most courses were 1-3 hours long, allowing 2-3 to fit into a day. Field courses were longer and scheduled for either morning or afternoon. Workshop Schedule Friday, May 16, 2003. Meet and greet. A no-host bar and light buffet will be provided so you can unwind from your trek to the north country and get to know other volunteers from around the province.Saturday, May 17, 2003. Breakfast (included in registration fee), introduction and courses fill the day. Lunch is included in your registration. In the evening, there is a dinner and dance with a no-host bar. We are pleased that Dr. Keys Groot graciously agreed to give a presentation on Salmon Migration, Orientation, and Navigation. There is no better opportunity to learn about the latest research on why habitat plays such an important role in migration. Dr. Groot will fill you in on how salmon orient themselves in time and space while they complete their ultimate journey.  Sunday, May 18, 2003. Breakfast (included) and some short courses will be scheduled for the morning. Lunch (included) and a field trip or two in the afternoon will be organized so you can see some of our sights.
