Darryl conducts an "hands-on" StreamKeepers course based out of Kelowna, BC, and covers modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and 11, with a demonstration of modules 7 and 11. The course takes 2 days to complete and participants will receive a PSkF certificate when they finish. Bring your hipwaders or rubber boots and prepare to be immersed in your local stream habitat!
The course cost is $50.00 plus $20.00 for the Streamkeepers Handbook and Modules. Photocopies of modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 11 will be supplied for those who don't want to purchase the handbook.
The course is taught by Darryl Arsenault, M.SC., R.P.Bio., who is a registered professional fisheries / aquatic biologist who has been completing stream assessments for the past 10 years. Darryl has a Masters of Science in fisheries ecology, completed at the University of Saskatchewan (1998), and a diploma in Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology from Malaspina College University (1987). He has a diverse background in aquatic ecology that has been gleaned from mining environmental impact assessments (EIA), oil spill EIA's, linear corridor studies, and numerous land development EIA's.
