Chum Salmon Return! November 2004

This new group got started in 2000 after completion of the daylighting project on the lower portion of Spanish Bank Creek. Fish now have access to a small urban watershed and Vancouver has a wonderful new area to view salmon. There has been longstanding community interest in the project and now that it's finished, this streamkeeper group carries out activities in this and two neighbouring creeks. The project receives a lot of attention due its location in Vancouver in a highly used and much loved recreation area. Members are very interested in doing storm drain marking and land owner contact to raise the level of awareness in the surrounding area. They are working with UBC students to carry out streamkeeper activities in the watershed. This new group got started in 2000 after completion of the daylighting project on the lower portion of Spanish Bank Creek.
