• Completed: Junior Creek project (creation of coho and steelhead habitat near Seymour River Hatchery) by DFO, GVRD and SSS, stocked with coho fry by SSS
• Completed: Homestead Enhancement site (3 rearing ponds and spawning channels created 1999 +2000) by SSS, stocked with coho fry by SSS
• Completed: Coho Creek site (coho and steelhead spawning and rearing habitat created in 2000), by GVRD
• On-going: Mid valley (will be completed 2001), by SSS
• Planned: Maplewood Creek off-channel habitat creation project (CDNV) [9]
• Up to 40,000 fed coho fry released above the dam each year

History:

• Water supply for North Vancouver since 1907, first intake built 1907, 1927: first Seymour dam constructed, present Seymour Falls dam constructed 1961 [1,8]
• Logging in the watershed as early as 1875 [8]
• Several homesteads built along Seymour River (south of Rice Lake) in 1890s [8]
