History:
- Water supply for North Vancouver since 1907, first intake built 1907, 1927: first Seymour dam constructed, present Seymour Falls dam constructed 1961 [1,8]
- Logging in the watershed as early as 1875 [8]
- Several homesteads built along Seymour River (south of Rice Lake) in 1890s [8]
